How about a fresh start? Do you ever wish you could have a do over? You can! We can't relive yesterday, and we can't live tomorrow in advance, but we can live NEW every single day. Join Deedy as she opens God's word to share with new believers, as well as long-timers, how to have a brand New Beginning every day of our lives.
This message can be given independently, or could be a second session to Deedy's testimony, which has a strong emphasis on salvation.
FAITH: Standing Firm in the Hard Times of Life
When bad things happen, is your faith wobbly? How can you stand strong in your faith through difficult times? There is a way, and Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego found it - even when facing a fiery furnace! "If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all" (Is. 7:9b CSB), boldly states what we should do, but how do we do it? Join Deedy for a look at the steps you can take to be prepared for your own furnaces, and learn how to stand firm.
Your group will gain practical steps to help them when facing their own tough times and trials in life.
Focus on the Finish
How easily distracted we get! Face it - life is crazy and at times it's almost impossible to keep our focus where it needs to be. Women are known for being able to multitask, but sometimes it just doesn't work. How do we do all the things we need to do, and keep our focus on God? Join Deedy in discovering through scripture ways to battle the distractions of life, and learn how to focus on the things that really matter.
Storms of the soul can threaten the very core of our faith. Most of us have experienced difficult times in our lives and wondered "Why?". During one of those times in my life I desperately searched for answers, and God's word faithfully spoke into my circumstance. Using the acronym "S.T.O.R.M.", I will share with your group the tools to find peace in the midst of the storms they may be facing as well.
This topic can be done as a multiple session retreat.
A Stained-Glass Life: Going from Broken to Beautiful
Scripture shows that no one is too far gone for God’s redeeming love, and in this testimonial message Deedy shares that God truly desires to make every woman’s life into a beautiful work of art.
In sharing her testimony, Deedy speaks on how God can take the shattered pieces of a woman scarred by childhood sexual abuse, parental alcoholism, attempted suicide, drug abuse and promiscuity and put those broken pieces into the beautiful stained-glass artwork only He can create.
We usually define "idolatry" as making anything in your life more important than God. We think as long as God is number one on our list, then we don't have idols, but that's not necessarily true. Just because we may not have a statue of Baal in our backyard does not mean we are free from idols. Idols can take many forms and even good things can become idols. When we allow idols to creep into our lives, hearts and minds, those idols, and the lies they tell us, begin to draw us away from God.
When we fall for idol lies, we begin to idolize. Discover how to identify existing idols, destroy them before they threaten your devotion to God, and protect yourself from future entrapment.
Renew, Refresh, Restore
Don’t you like the sound of that? “RE” is a prefix which means “again and again” to indicate repetition. We can live NEW, each moment of every day. We can be FRESH every morning. If we could wrap our minds around that, and put it into practice consistently, we’d all be able to Relax and be Restored. But it’s not that easy, is it? Join Deedy as she shares with your group what God’s word shows us on being Renewed, Refreshed and Restored. (This is a Retreat message but can be condensed to a seminar or single event setting.)
Parenting: Raising Godly Children in an Ungodly World
Parenting is a lot of things - smelly, exciting, crushing, frustrating, fun, hard, rewarding and expensive – just to name a few. It’s the most important thing that people ever do, so how do we do it “right”? Using the acronym K.I.D.S., Deedy goes to the ultimate Instruction Manual and will share some practical application tips you can take home and put in to practice today.
Finding Peace in Your Finances
God has a LOT to say about money and possessions, but far too many people don't know what that is. Do you? There are over 2,000 verses in the Bible about money and possessions, and if we don't know how to apply what God says to our finances, we can be stressed and lose peace. Isaiah 26:3 tells us, "You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You!"
In this message, Deedy will share with you and your group what God says about money, and will share practical applications on how to handle it. Finding peace in your finances is possible, so contact Deedy today to schedule her for your event.
